Memorial Weekend 3-day event! Don’t miss out!

Celebrate the official start of SUMMER 2026! Summer is here and it’s finally chic to wear white again …. or nothing at all. This all-inclusive weekend includes accommodation for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights (you may choose to stay over Monday night at no additional charge). A long weekend of parties by the pool, entertainment by the cast of WO LIVE!, Dancing with Club WO and much more! Memorial Day at Whispering Oaks is a MUST!

Suggested Attire: Military/Police/Fireman (Day), White Party (Night)

Here is what’s lined up for this weekend!

NOTE:
• We are running a 50/50 Raffle this weekend to raise money for the Woodshed expansion project. Purchase tickets from the Office or see Shawn in the kitchen. Drawing Sunday during WO Live!
• Alternate activities will be planned in the event of rain.

Friday-5/22
5PM – WELCOME HOME POOLSIDE MEET N GREET – Check in, get settled and come on over to the pool to relax and meet your neighbors for the weekend!
7PM – WELCOME HOME POTLUCK – Bring a dish to share and join us in the dining hall for social hour and some good food!
8PM-10PM – WELCOME HOME PARTY! – Come kick off the weekend in the lighted courtyard, volleyball, cornhole, pool, hot tub and more!
10PM – WO AFTER DARK – Head to the woodshed for steamy fun, relax in the hot tub or join the conversation around the fire. It’s all up to you, so UBU.

Saturday 5/23
8AM to 10AM – CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST Available in the Dining Hall.
10AM – INTO THE WOODS – The Trail map has been updated, so scan the QR Code at the office and hit one of our many hiking trails to enjoy the mountain air and the start of summer!
11AM – BRIDGE 101 – Learn the grandaddy of all card games. Easy to learn especially if you play Spades. Meet in the back of the Dining Hall
12PM – LUNCH – Ham and Cheddar Sandwiches, Potato Salad, Sliced Tomatoes, Popcorn, Sweet Tea
12:30PM – 3PM – SUMMER KICK OFF POOL PARTY
3PM – CROQUET TOURNAMENT – Hosted by Jolene. Meet at the Volleyball Court. Tournament starts at 3:05PM, so don’t be ‘fashionably late’.
5PM – COURTYARD GAMES – Take a break from the sun before dinner and head to the courtyard for cornhole, croquet, volleyball or horseshoes.
6:30PM – DINNER – Slow Roasted Ribs, Cole Slaw, Baked Beans, White Bread, Dessert, Sweet Tea
8:30PM – WHISPERING OAKS LIVE – Join the Whispering Oaks Cast along with their guests for a variety show like no other. Guest performers are welcome! See Ben or Carmen to sign up before NOON.
?? 9:00PM – FAMILY FEUD – We need 2 families to sign up for this exciting version of the familiar game. See Carmen or Jolene to sign your team up. Don’t forget to pick a funny family name!
10:00PM-12:00AM – RED ROOSTER CAFÉ – Stop by for late night snacks.
10:30PM – WO AFTER DARK – Keep the fun going after the show your own way at our heated pool, hot tub, campfire, and woodshed as the party continues long into the night!

Sunday 5/24
8AM to 10AM – CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST – Available in the Dining Hall.
10:30AM – VOLLEYBALL! – Beat the heat and meet at the volleyball court for a volleyball game or two. All skill levels welcome!
11AM – BRIDGE 101 – Learn the grandaddy of all card games. Easy to learn especially if you play Spades. Meet in the back of the Dining Hall
12PM – LUNCH – Hamburgers/Cheeseburgers, Pasta Salad and Chips.
12:30PM to 2PM – SUNDAY TEA DANCE – Dance, Party and Play at the pool & enjoy some fun in the sun!
2PM – POOLSIDE TRIVIA – Hosted by Jolene.
3PM – CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT – Hosted by Jolene. Tournament signups will begin promptly at 3PM. Tournament starts at 3:10. If you arrive after 3:10, you unfortunately will not be included in the Cornhole tournament.
4PM to 6PM – COURTYARD GAMES – Take a break from the pool and join us in the courtyard for some games. Horseshoes, Volleyball, Croquet, card games, board games and more or just relax and enjoy the beautiful afternoon at WO.
6:30PM – DINNER – Chicken Broccoli Alfredo, Green Beans, Garlic Bread, Dessert and Sweet Tea.
8:30PM – WHISPERING OAKS LIVE! – Join the Whispering Oaks Cast along with their guests for a variety show like none other! Have a talent you’d like to showcase in the show? See Ben or Carmen to sign up before NOON. ** Raffle Winner to be announced during this show! **
10:00PM-12:00AM – RED ROOSTER CAFÉ – Stop by for late night snacks.
10:30PM – WO AFTER DARK – Keep the fun going after the show your own way at our heated pool, hot tub, campfire, and woodshed as the party continues long into the night!

Monday 5/25
8AM to 10AM – CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST – Available in the Dining Hall
11AM – IN MEMORIAM – Join us in the Memorial Garden for a service to remember those that have gone before us.
11AM – CHECK OUT – Ya don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay in your room! Check out of your cabin, but feel free to stay and enjoy the day! If you need to stay later, late check out IS available for $50 which gives you until 4PM to vacate your cabin.
11AM TO 6PM – RRR DAY! – Enjoy all of our facilities as long as you like! Recuperate, Reset, and plan your Return! We can’t wait to see you again!
12PM – LUNCH – Hot Dog Cookout, Chips and Macaroni Salad.
2PM – POOL VOLLEYBALL
