Memorial Day Weekend
Suggested Attire: Military/Police/Firemen (day), White Party (night)
Celebrate the official start of SUMMER 2024! Summer is here and it’s finally chic to wear white again …. or nothing at all. This all-inclusive weekend includes accommodation for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights (you may choose to stay over Monday night at no additional charge). A long weekend of parties by the pool, entertainment by the cast of WO LIVE!, Dancing with Club WO and much more! Memorial Day at Whispering Oaks is a MUST!
Here’s what is lined up for this weekend:
Friday-5/24
5PM – WELCOME HOME POOLSIDE MEET N GREET – Check in, get settled and come on over to the pool to relax and meet your neighbors for the weekend!
7PM – WELCOME HOME POTLUCK – Bring a dish to share and join us in the dining hall for social hour and some good food!
8PM-10PM – WELCOME HOME PARTY! – Come kick off the weekend in the newly lit courtyard, with DJ, cocktails, volleyball, cornhole, pool, hot tub and more!
10PM – WO AFTER DARK – Head to the woodshed for steamy fun, relax in the hot tub or join the conversation around the fire. It’s all up to you, so UBU.
Saturday 5/25
8AM – PUZZLE ME THIS – Pick up one or all of the morning crosswords, sudokus etc. at breakfast and test your brain power. Turn completed puzzles in for prizes.
8AM to 10AM – CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST served in the Dining Hall
10AM – INTO THE WOODS – The Trail map has been updated for 2024 so scan the QR Code at the office and hit one of our many hiking trails to enjoy the mountain air and the start of summer!
12PM – Lunch – Grilled hamburger / hot dog, Chips, Melon, Lemonade.
12PM -3PM – SUMMER KICK OFF POOL PARTY WITH GOGO BOYS AND HOSTED BY ADA RALL!
2PM – Poolside Trivia hosted by Jolene.
3PM – 2024 MEMORIAL DAY SHOT CRAWL – Meet at the bar outdoor bar, apologize to your liver, and join us as we stumble our way through the campground. If you wish to host a shot crawl stop, See Tracy or Ben.
4PM – JUST FOR TODAY MEET – WO’s onsite open meeting for those in the recovery community. Take a break from the day and head to the porch at site 21. Open to all.
5PM – AFTERNOON TRIVIA – Test your general trivia knowledge poolside in the WO favorite activity.
630PM – DINNER – Taco Bar with all the fixins’, Churros
8PM – PRE-SHOW COCKTAILS! – Join us at the Courtyard bar and get ready for WO Live!
830PM – WHISPERING OAKS LIVE – Join the Whispering Oaks Cast along with their guests for a variety show like no other. Guest performers are welcome! See Wilda or Carmen to sign up.
1030PM – WO AFTER DARK – keep the fun going after the show your own way at our heated pool, hot tub, campfire, and Woodshed as the party continues long into the night!
Sunday 5/26

1030AM – VOLLEYBALL! – Beat the heat and meet at the volleyball court for a volleyball game or two. All skill levels welcome!
12PM – LUNCH – Pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, Cole slaw, chips, Cookies.
12PM to 2PM – SUNDAY TEA DANCE – Dance, Party and Play at the pool and enjoy some fun in the sun!
2PM – POOLSIDE BINGO!! – Hang out after the Tea Dance for some Bingo fun poolside!
3PM – AFTERNOON TRIVIA BONUS ROUND – Test your general trivia knowledge poolside.
4PM – JUST FOR TODAY MEET – WO’s onsite open meeting for those in the recovery community. Take a break from the day and head to the porch at site 21. Open to all.
5PM – COURTYARD GAMES- take a break from the sun before dinner and head to the courtyard for cornhole, giant Jenga, volleyball or yard Yahtzee!
6:30PM – Dinner – Our Chef’s signature Poppyseed Chicken served over rice, vegetable Normandy, Dessert
8PM – WO LIVE! PRE-SHOW COCKTAILS – Join us at the outdoor bar and get ready for WO Live!
830PM – WHISPERING OAKS LIVE! – Join the Whispering Oaks Cast along with their guests for a variety show like none other! Have a talent you’d like to showcase in the show? See Carmen or Wilda.
10PM – FOAM FINALE! – head to the Pavilion to Dance, Frolic and Play in the Foam to cap off our Memorial Day weekend celebration.
Monday 5/27
8AM to 10AM – CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST served in the Dining Hall
11AM – IN MEMORIAM – Join us in the Memorial Garden for a service to remember those that have gone before us.
11AM – CHECK OUT
11AM TO 6PM – RRR DAY! Enjoy all of our facilities as long as you like!

NOTE: MEALS START ON TIME! Listen for the dinner bell to ring. If you arrive late, people are already getting seconds and your choices may be limited.
