Come on out for the final weekend of the CMEN Spring Gathering, and meet the men of CMEN who’s foresight and hard work brought Whispering Oaks into existence! Celebrate our past and our future as we thank them for our Home Away From Home!
HERITAGE DAYS WEEKEND / CMEN 06/07 – 06/09
Welcome Home to Whispering Oaks! Our 21 and over men only retreat is open 365 days a year. NOTE: Each day this weekend at 5 pm is a THEMED COCKTAIL PARTY. Enjoy our heated pool, hot tub, sauna, volleyball court, courtyard games. hiking trails, heated showers, and our indoor play area appropriately named, the Woodshed. During event weekends, all meals are included and served in the dining hall and the schedule offers a variety of entertainments including themed parties, dance nights, cocktails, games and shows featuring the cast of Whispering Oaks LIVE! Here is what’s lined up for this weekend!
Friday- 6/7
5:00PM – WELCOME HOME COCKTAILS – THEME for this cocktail hour—-“HAWAIIAN LUAU”. Join us at the outdoor bar for our Friday night cocktail hour hosted by the men of CMEN.
7:00PM – WELCOME HOME POTLUCK – Bring a dish to share and join us in the dining hall for a social hour and some good food!
8:30PM – EVENING SHOW! – head to the event all for some game show fun hosted by Jolene, Carmen, and the men of CMEN!
9:45PM – ICE CREAM SCIAL in the dining hall
10:00PM – FIRESIDE FRIDAYS…SPECIAL EDITION! – After the show, head to the campfire, hear the story of Whispering Oaks and share some favorite memories from our past
11:00PM – WO AFTER DARK – The heat is on so head to the woodshed for steamy fun, relax in the hot tub or join the conversation around the fire.
Saturday – 6/8
8:30AM– 9:30AM – BREAKFAST – served in the Dining Hall
10:00AM – BRIDGE 101 – All are invited to learn the granddaddy of all card games
10:30AM-12:00PM – INTO THE WOODS –The trail map has been updated for 2024 so scan the QR code at the office and hit one of our many hiking trails to enjoy the mountain air and the start of Summer.
12:00PM – LUNCH – Hamburger/Hotdog cookout with potato salad, watermelon, and chips.
12:00PM – 2:00PM– STUDIO 54 POOL PARTY- Watch your tan lines disappear in our swimsuit optional pool with a Disco themed pool party!
2:00PM – POOLSIDE BINGO – The party continues poolside with some Bingo fun poolside!
3:00PM – AFTERNOON TRIVIA – Test your general trivia knowledge poolside at this WO favorite.
4:00PM – VOLLEYBALL GAME – All are invited even those new to playing volleyball.
4:00PM – JUST FOR TODAY MEETING- WO’s onsite open meeting for those in Recovery. Take a break from the day and head to the porch at Site21 for some coffee and conversation. Open to all
5:00PM – COCKTAIL PARTY AT THE OUTDOOR BAR—-THEME. “SUNSHINE YELLOW”– join the men of CMEN for afternoon cocktails hosted by John and Darrell
6:30PM – DINNER – Chicken Broccoli /lfredo, Garden Salad, Garlic Bread.
8:00PM – PRESHOW COCKTAILS – Grab a cocktail at the outdoor bar and get ready for W.O. LIVE!
8:30PM – WHISPERING OAKS LIVE! – Join the cast of Whispering Oaks Live! and their guests for a variety show like none other. Guest performers are welcome! See Wilda or Carmen to sign up.
10:00PM – WO AFTER DARK – After the show, stick around and dance, or hit the hot tub or the campfire, or venture to the Woodshed, or hit them all. The evening is yours!
Sunday – 6/9
8:00AM to 10:00AM – CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST – served in the Dining Hall
11:00AM – CHECK OUT – RRR Day! Enjoy all of our facilities as long as you like! Recuperate, Reset, and plan your Return! We can’t wait to see you again!
